The thing is, both have their advantages and disadvantages. Low maintenance is easy, just get her heaps of mcdonalds and other rubbish and she's happy. But also probably a big fat humpty-dumpty looking thing.
High maintenance you have to waste a lot of money trying to please her, but she's more likely to be a hotty so its much nicer drilling it.

I like a challenge.
High maintenance is NOT money. Not with Scots. It's all about making her feel special and that she has your heart your thoughts and your undivided attention. You CAN do that with money, of course. More effective to do it with your actions.
Low maintenance women don't really care. High maintenance women, the more you put in, the more you get back.

It makes it sound that before you make that commitment you should consider the "running costs" as you would before you purchase a car. A woman is not property.
If you fell in love with her and part of that was the way she presented herself, took care of herself then it should never be a consideration.
I would suggest perhaps any man that thinks like that is out of his league.

I think there may be different interpretations of what low and high maintenance means (and it is not just women I am talking about)
To me, high maintenance people expect more than they put in to the relationship, so the other partner is always under duress to live up to their expectations.
In contrast, low maintenance people, give at least as much as the other person in the relationship, and don't expect more than they give.

I,ve never looked at it in that way, my first real g/f I bought a gold bracelet I wasn't trying to buy her, it felt the gold expressed my true feelings for her (gold).
I don't think it's worth getting cheap presents if you really have feelings for a girl. Jmo.
