Of the other suggestions so far I'd pick The Goodbye Girl.
Scent of A Woman is a brilliant movie, but very little romance in it, just the lovely tango scene and Al Pacino flirting with the teacher near the end. It was more a moving friendship.
As for Zombeavers..... really????

Definitely the best!
I also watched a movie that maybe some did not think of as a romance but it is, "The Adjustment Bureau" with Matt Damon and Emily Blunt. I don't want to give it away in case you have not seen it...I mean in case "anyone" has not seen it. lol...but it is about some things that can not be stopped and maybe even destines and fighting all odds to be together. Here is a trailer from it.
