Ccincy: purr it's not the American people who I don't have any faith in it is the political figures who I don't trust.
It isn't going to really matter and (it hasn't really mattered) who wins cause things are going to be the same and maybe worse.
Do you really believe that those political figures give a hoot about us and this country?
but your not giving any credit to the american people. i think they're are smart enough to see through lies and put the best candidate in office.
all politicians don't lie. we only have bernie sanders to prove that fact. take a look at his poll numbers on his integrity. you don't have to like him but it can't be denied that americans thinks he's genuine in what HE believes.
in my opinion, i think there are going to be some real changes in washington this time around. to me it just feels different and besides america is FED UP with washington and wants some functionality. so yes, i feel there are some politicians who want to work to achieve a win win for all involved.

purr I make a funny about the political figures and the American people and you wish to turn it into something else.
All politicians lie or they wouldn't get elected.
Do you honestly believe that our government gives a darn about us?
purr4mance: well, it really wasn't my WISH to turn it into something else. i was trying to have a conversation with you, which you obviously WISH to not have.
with your attitude about politics, please continue to bury your head in the sand. 1 vote won't matter or so i've heard.

purr would you like me to explain in detail a personal story on this open forum site of what a political figure and their assistant suggested I do when my late husband was still alive and out of work at no fault of his own to prove something to you and of why I lost trust political figures?

of course not.
i'm just saying all political figures aren't the same.
and just food for thought.. what if instead of becoming disgruntled with political figures and the system, you became involved and an activist for change for what ever happened to your husband.
Although I personally want Bernie Sanders, Hilary Clinton has a strong chance because, academically (political academics, that is..) she has the most experience. She has a strong college background, legal expertise, and besides being a first lady, she was Secretary Of State. Overall, this is far more experience than any one of the others, in my humble opinion. Additionally, many believe that America is more than ready for a woman President. After all, even countries where women have been second to men, there have been women leaders. (Try India, Israel, etc...)

if bernie won do you really think he could push through his agenda in a republican controlled congress and an american electorate that for the most part wants nothing to do with his form of socialism.

ali110: youtube is unblocked here , usually slow internet
Sorry Ali, I thought I read somewhere on the forums that some things were censored on the internet in Pakistan. I used to have dial up internet so I know that a minute long video can take an hour to download. Thank you for sharing pictures and insights on where you live. It is very interesting.
galrads: I'm moving to Canada if a communist colonel Bernie Sanders is elected POTUS.
The problem with moving to Canada...you will have healthcare, reduced tuition rates for education, big banks are controlled by the government...and you will pay higher taxes...Canadians like Bernie...

I'm too old to pay taxes. Besides, Canada exempts USA pensioners from paying taxes on their unearned-income pensions.

That is interesting...many Canadians and Americans tend to go to Costa Rica or other cheaper countries to stretch their pensions...thinking about it when I retire...

Loulou.... I don't know what I'm talking about here... Just wishful thinking that Canada should be grateful enough to allow us USA pensioners to live there w/o taxes on anything since we protect most of your southern and part of your northern border.

What is more important is that Americans should respect their neighbors...as Canadians respect our neighbor the US...as for protecting our borders...Canada does have a military...however we are a small population in comparison and I doubt Canada would be in jeopardy due to our stance on peace...most of the noise is coming from the States...Canada would not participate in the Iraqi war without UN support...
Canada is not a super power but we do support our neighbor but that does not mean Canadians agree with every decision that the US makes...do we owe the US ?...not in my books...

Ali are you saying that the politicians can't do any deceiving?
That is almost laughable.
