I saw ELO back in the seventies when they were a force! What's it been now? 13, 14 years since they have down anything new? For what will be charged for a ticket a person could probably BUY ELO's entire library (which I already own) In my mind, this is a nostalgic non-event. They simply have not been creating anything new these days....sorry, I am an extreme ELO fan,...but that was back in the day!

Yeah you're probably be right about the expense. It would still be cool to be there, I think.

Yes, it would be! I was just being an old fart a-hole! Last ticket I bought for ELO was $10 (and Jeff Beck opened)O

And as a PS - they were YOUNG hard-core rockers back then! What a show!

No you're right. Most concerts are far too expensive nowadays and you'd want to have a really good seat or standing spot even. :)

It is getting silly. More often than not, a lot of the music is not "live"...but rather computer-driven - like a loud and "live" CD! Back in my dinosaur era,...it was a wall of Marshall amplifiers and we heard EVERY mistake the band made...but we LOVED IT cuz we were too stoned to even remember how to complain!peace

Approx. four months since they released something new:

My personal preference, is to see Maroon 5 open for ELO, but that's not going to happen due to Maroon 5 being such a major ticket on their own and the two groups are generations apart.

Equity as awesome, is to have David Gilmore and ELO performing on the same stage, but really, who of the two should open for the other ? Tough call.

Sex Pistols, (what's left of them.)

They blew ELO and their tired genre out of the water in the seventies, probably do it again this time round...laugh

Look's like seeing Keith Emerson is out of the question now.
