I assume people disappear for a number of reasons but I can guarantee , as soon as something controversial appears on the forums , they'll be back to give their two pennies worth. I can practically smell them in the background , waiting to pounce .

Elegsabiff: People come, then go, then come back again under the same name, or a new name if they're trying to avoid the mods or previous connections I've been here two years, and this is my second profile. (I wanted to change my name, that's my story and I'm sticking to it)
I think I've met everyone I want to meet, got my fingers burned as often as I want them to be burned, talked to everyone I want to talk to, and it's time to start drifting away but how likely am I to come back?
I've met people who have been here years under one profile with a pretty good attendance record, others who pop back for a month or two on a regular basis, then vanish again. No idea whether I will even be able to pull free and if I can, whether I'll find myself back.
Have you left, thinking that's it, and found yourself back weeks, months or even years later? Why?

I've been here for quite awhile, always under the same name. I have never posted a pic, but have sent pics to select members on the e-mail provided here. My take on it is varied, as is normal. Here are a few observations: I will either begin a new thread or be participating on what seems to be a really interesting one, and then, no feedback. Just kind of dissolves. That bugs me a bit. A far as getting fingers burnt--caveat emptor. I admit I am a bit attached to the site, and can and do get a bit emotional. Yes, my feelings have been hurt a time or two, and I've done that, as well. (Trying extremely hard to NOT do this--I really love people and it is not in my heart to damage or insult). I have never "left" per se, but have "hidden" for a few days once or twice. The pros far outweigh the cons, so I will be here 4-evah. Hi Buff, good question.
I joined in 2013. My first ever dating site so was totally green for ages.
Then I found Chat, and I was home.
I only joined the forums and blogs months after Chat closed.
I had no pic up for the first year, but then when I was organising a CS Meet, the mods asked me to put up a pic, so the blur went up.
I dated a fellow CSer for 2 years, but never left as he wasn't living close, and i enjoyed the forums and blogs.
I have never been banned, nor hidden or deleted my profile, and have had the same one since day 1.
The only way I could see myself leaving would be if I met someone who was around all the time, and I had better things to be doing
I have met great people in RL from here, and have good craic online with others.
So my experience has been very positive. Thanks CS
