We (me and my friends) didn't need toys to play... We loved to read and every game we played was a little story. We grew up in the nature, the forest, the river side, an old house ruins and even the cemetery were our stages. Gosh, thinking about my childhood I feel so blessed...
PS I had only bike and roller skates, and that was enough...
Cutietc12: When we were little it's nice to play with toys. Toys are fun to play with especially if you know the toys you like during the holidays. What toys you guys like?
Hard to say which one was a favourite but I loved my easy bake oven.
And my dolls that peed after feeding it a bottle of milk or water but most of the liquid ended up in the dolls hollow legs...the milk gets pretty rank sitting in the legs for too long.
Oh, and a big package of those green plastic army men.

My first real toy that had a profound effect on me was a Meccano set my dad bought for me when I was around 8-9 years of age.
the second was a Philips electronics kit that taught how to make electronic circuits, crystal set radios etc, it was this that gave me the joy of electronics and eventually my career. I never dreamed as a child at the age of 60 I would become a Professor of English and be teaching all over Asia. Amazing how life can turn out.
I love mechanics and electronics and still make radios, guess I never truly grew up lol
