sometimes anger comes in even at the time you are most happy or having fun, it's nobody's fault to be angry but how do you deal with that feelings when it creeps in. managing anger is very important.

yes it is important to manage it. I do a couple of the things you suggested in your poll, play music usually. But if I am in a place where I can't do that I will go for walk or focus on a project.head banger

For me I have to first discern between my feelings of "Righteous Indignation" and pure unadulterated anger..

As for the latter I am seldom in that state of tumultuous being. However when I am feeling "Righteous Indignation" about anything, I get pro active, and want "remedy" the situation..

I use my "Righteous Indignation" energies to create something for the benefit of my out-inner environment: Getting involved volunteering my time, cleaning my home, writing, singing, or, just exercising always resolves the matter at hand.

Along with the anger comes hurt sometimes. I take a few steps back and try to really see things for what they are. Then I try to make a decision on how to handle things when I'm in the right frame of mind.

I refuse to argue or raise my voice most of the time. When I feel myself getting angry or upset, I walk away. I do, however, have failing moments when I shout. It is quickly quelled and I move on. I TRY not to talk when I am angry.

So when I don't talk to my partner for days, it means I am still angry.

First I evaluate what caused the anger. If I'm angry at myself for doing something stupid I just chalk it up and move on.

If I'm angry at someone in my family for something they said, if it has value I might question why did they say that. Otherwise, I'll walk away so that I don't hurt their feelings.

If someone on here makes me angry, it's just another day on CS. If they attack me I'll contact them in private mail but lately that has been a waste of time because they never apologize and will continue to attack.

One thing I never do is raise my voice, scream at the person who made me angry or throw something at them.
