I think that crews should know martial arts to quell riots on board.

United's health and Safety Manual specifically states
"Martial arts and other forms of cruder violence must only be used against peaceful and elder passengers - after all we don't want any nasty allegations in court that we placed our staff at risk of injury ... "
The gent who was 'de-united from his previously united United aircraft ' was reportedly 69 years of age ... and it still took 3 burly cops to take him down ???
