Don't remove the statue. At one time political correctness had the power to destroy the right and it chose not to because the power to do something is not a reason to do it. There is some truth in your words and some tendency to exaggerate. I am a high functioning Autistic. At age 25 I had a moment of revelation when I realized not everyone as smart as me. Prior to that moment I couldn't understand why people didn't get it. Did not seem to get anything - LOL. The fact is I did not get I was autistic. I was in my late fifies before I figured that one out. LOL. Anyway I managed to stay out of prison which is more than I say for my fellow elderly austistics I met along the way. These individuals still have sharp elbows even I have troubles dealing with, and I try to keep in touch in them because they need someone able to meet them on their intellectual plain and is non judgemental.

Here is how I look at it. History isn't always pretty! Yes, we had some dark days in our history, tearing down statutes, does not change things, it just represses the truth. While the left decries the right's intolerance...the left is proving to share the same values, when it pulls down statutes.
