If you are talking about living healthier rather than longer, then I chose "better" since I miss out on so much because I have chronic migraines. I would definitely love to be migraine free and live a shorter life.
Yes, I know that and my daughter was much more than when my mum said it to me about having a debilitating stroke.
I got the gist of what she was saying, though - neither of us want our lives artificially prolonged for the sake of staying alive.
I don't expect my daughter to actually put a pillow over my head, but maybe if I no longer want, or remember to eat, it's time to let things take their natural course. I'd rather not have people ramming food down my throat for their own needs.
Live better, if you're in your 50s or 60s you got time to turn things around health wise, than 70 or 80 s not so sure , and it depends on what health issues you may have already, sometimes takes years to reversed some health issues.

Mapmaker: I map of an unsound mind and body do hereby bequeath all my worldly possessions to anyone who will take the time to bury me in an organic and sustainable way. I am heading off to dignitas to be put down. My life was good while coffee was available. Goodbye cruel world.

I've realised over the past couple of years that I've taken my excellent health for granted and it's now time, in my early sixties, to take more care and capitalise on that
