...The Doors were an American rock band formed in 1965 in Los Angeles, with vocalist Jim Morrison, keyboardist Ray Manzarek, guitarist Robby Krieger, and drummer John Densmore. The band got its name, at Morrison's suggestion from the title of Aldous Huxley's book The Doors of Perception, which itself was a reference to a quote made by William Blake, "If the doors of perception were cleansed, everything would appear to man as it is, infinite." They were unique and among the most controversial and influential rock acts of the 1960s, mostly because of Morrison's lyrics and charismatic but unpredictable stage persona. After Morrison's death in 1971, the remaining members continued as a trio until disbanding in 1973....
...This song is very cool...The incorporated a blues theme to this song and it was far different from many of their songs, because it did not have the dark elements to it....It was lively...funky and positive....
LA Woman ..... love the way Morrison describes life and his experiences in LA. Lived it four years after the song’s release.... gotta mojo rising risin risin
I remember when I was a boy watching "Apocalypse Now" :-) What impressive…
I understood that movie years later, but there was there, "The End" of The Doors: mixing this song (and others) with singular atmospheres of landscapes and psychological situations, was a big stimulation to listen to this band consequently.
Therefore, I join to @deviant_slice and my preference is "The End" as well, and this one is in my CS music list undoubtly.
