Hmmm I didn't vote, there really wasn't an option for me. I write my friends and tell the scammers off, that's about it.

Hi CBO ... a RECEIVED INITIAL APPROACH is when someone contacts you that you don't know
and a SENT INITIAL APPROACH is when you send a mail to someone you've not had contact with
The rest is just a matter of 'by how many' :-)

I don't send initial messages. I've recently sent a link to one blog to the person I had chatted here on the forums on one thread - simply because I knew it would interest him. Otherwise, I think that men are not shy creatures and that they know what they want, so if they don't contact me initially - that means that they are not interested in me. I see no point in messaging them first.
I used to receive many messages on my previous profile - I had a more detailed profile and different photos - but - like everyone else - mostly from fake profiles. I would receive a message from a real person once in a while, but rarely we had something in common or wanted the same things. Or we were simply - too far away.
I've got a little tired of messaging lately, so I blocked almost everyone - left only several destinations and narrow age group. My Inbox is peaceful and quiet at the moment.

I didn't come here for that. But at least 7 men a day, don't read my profile, and live across the country or Europe and say things like "distant doesn't matter", and call me "Dear" or "Dearie" and say they have "never done this before" and it's a form letter.
