A hero. Whoever doubts that needs to be drafted, and see how they like it. Besides, he won the world championship 3 times, the second after the boxing commission stole his title because he stood up against the draft.

Well, he certainly wasn't a coward. It takes courage to stand up for what you believe in, particularly in the face of losing everything, including your liberty.
I don't know that I'd call him a hero either, though. I think I'd call him a man.
He was a man who had a lot to say, a man who achieved a lot, a man who's life is inspiring, a man who left a legacy.
A definate hero who was human and flawed like everyone else. He will ALWAYS be the Greatest !!! Not only the best Boxer that ever lived but very charismatic and courageous in the ring and out.. Parkensons disease is no joke ok and i dont think people should speak negatively of someone who was beloved not only in the US but all over the world! Muslim or not he was adored and a class act that no other boxer could follow .He stood for what he believed just like we all do
He was a good fighter as far as being a hero or traitor would half to have had saved lives to earn that title and far as traitor would half to have been proven.

Sorry, I forgot to post the reply I was responding to.
Neither a Hero nor a Coward. He was a Farrakhan follower who Muslim was fairly new in the States. Farrakhan was looking for figures to pull more followers into the group and Cassius Clay liked the idea since he was approaching other ladies. As everybody saw him talking but doing nothing for the country, he was less than a regular citizen.
