Oh Merc This is the only international forum with a variety of threads where members are mostly over 40 years old. In general, forums, Facebook groups, etc. are more or less empty and deserted, specialized or full of teenagers and people in their 20's. Finding an international place to chat with mature people worldwide (and not on one-to-one basis) is extremely difficult. So, yes, boredom and entertainment. 
Reminds me of how sane I am compared to many others.

I'm on cs because I don't see why I should be the only one to have to put up with me.
I'm on CS because it's one of the ways one could potentially find a partner. If one puts themselves out there in lots of different ways then there is more of an opportunity of finding the one.

i originally joined CS to meet someone, and i did.
i keep visiting to stay in touch with folks i know, and enjoy the banter in the forums.
i've also learned a lot from some of the folks on here.
