Some people want to dis religion because they don't have the same beliefs of people with faith, so they call being a person of faith weak minded. Is this really a fair label to apply to people with faith?
I for one am a Christian. I'm not perfect, but I do believe in God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. I also think if one is an atheist, they should at least show respect for those who do follow Christ, instead of calling them weak minded.
You state you are a Christian and believe in the Trinity. IMHO - As you only list Atheism as an alternative & no other Christian religious faith, - to an agnostic ( there is a difference ) or other Christian believer including Catholic, your poll is far too narrow to register a constructive vote for a fair result. .
Bearwoman: I'm not religious but I do respect the ones who are.I just don't appreciate it when a religious person attempts to shove their beliefs down my throat.
But Bear...That is exactly what they do....as soon as u mention religion.....in any way.....They have to make u one of them....

As a registered agnostic since the age of 17 when I served in the RAF and we all had to declare faith or other in case of death if we flew voluntarily even for a Glider, I agree with that fair comment entirely

I know the difference between the two. I didn't list it because why would I since those people (agnostic) don't care, and why would I even think they care enough to take this poll?
Bearwoman: That is why I don't mention religion. If they should mention it I just look them straight in the eyes and tell them that I don't wish to discuss it with them.
As stubborn as I am they'd have a fight on their hands trying to turn me into one of them.
U know that religion, is one of the things, apart from politics, etc Not to be discussed in the workplace......Well they r discussed more than anything else.....Very productive people....as it generally ends in a fight.....

Unlike Service chaplains, and Leaders of all the faiths I have discused my belife with You show your ignorance & myopic bias by Not knowing what we believe, or care about and practice towards all fellow human beings.
pKrema: There are things greater than humans...and we shall never forget that...
How do you mean """greater than humans""???? If by ""thing"" you mean something greater than a human being, spiritually we might find it, in "faith", religious and otherwise. If that "great thing" exists,it has to appear, show its face, and if is greater than us humans,""in all aspects"", then we have to accept it, as "superior being" to us in all aspects of our lives.

There r:- Telepathy Telekinesis etc
Any of those.....that this superior HUMAN being has.....
there is a difference between ``being a blind follower`` and someone who questions ,explores, seeks for answers ,...who are we, where did we come from, how did life start

Spiritually and physically... You can't see the wind but you see what the hurricane can destroy... You don't see the thought but you believe in it's power... Humility will preserve humanity...
The question of whether there exists a Creator and Ruler of the Universe has been answered in the affirmative by some of the highest intellects that have ever existed.
“I may say that the impossibility of conceiving that this grand and wondrous universe, with our conscious selves, arose through chance, seems to me the chief argument for the existence of God”. Charles Darwin
“A scientific discovery is also a religious discovery. There is no conflict between science and religion. Our knowledge of God is made larger with every discovery we make about the world.” Joseph H. Taylor, Jr.,
“The more I study science, the more I believe in God.” Albert Einstein
“It may seem bizarre, but in my opinion science offers a surer path to God than religion.” Paul Davis
Limun: For some reason the Opening poster gave us two Options,,, either Jesus or Atheism..which is ridiculous but okay ...those are his options and his way of looking at it
We do agree that there is a designer or designers ...we dont know who it or they are ,we still search for anwsers Believing without proof ,or disbelieving simply because we chose to disbelieve would be the same in my opinion
Liam....Most beliefs r without proof....or they see someone recovering from a lightning strike...there is medicine, but mostly even that can't explain things like....telepathy & telekinesis, etc……
Limun: no, the believe in a higher being is implanted in our genes, the incomplete submission of our ancestors, refurbished on the needs of certain rulers ,political movements .thats why we have more than one religion
.telepathy & telekinesis, ?...Buddhist monks Know that we all have such abilities but its necessary to stimulate them in the earliest age ( 3-6 )...and its been suppressed in our civilisation for a very long time
Well there is No imprint in my DNA....that's for sure....
Yes I was a Buddhist briefly, and understand their Philosophy....very effective....
Now explain Pre-cognition as well, I have telepathy as well, since childhood.....that I can turn off like a tap....
Limun: our body has over 100.000 billions of cells ,cells are very complex .now, we still don`t understand how gravity works , we still dont know much about the DNA how from the nucleus, the information is translated into protein ..but you know that there is no imprint on your DNA ..okay
Pre-cognition is tied to our right side of the brain ,our brain works in a different frequency and we receive information, some people can do it whenever they want, some have occasional flashes ...like when we sleep, dream ...
I had a lot while growing up, via dreams.....Now it's mainly centred on my kids and animals....I know I if something is wrong with them....sensing....I sometimes have links with the current bf...but it fades quickly after the end....
Religion is always started by evil and followed by the weak minded. True Christianity is from God and is perpetuated by God and followed by the truly strong minded.
