I have a friend who drags me out in the pouring rain , during electric storms, fortunately the rain is warm in Cyprus, and not unpleasant

I grew up in a remote valley on the edge of the old Nyasaland where there were savage storms in the rainy season. Lying in bed, under a mosquito net, hearing the rain hammering down on the tin roof while flashes lit up the room with the simultaneous crash of thunder gave a kid a sense of security.
Lightning near a tin roof...not so much
