I am one of the rare people who just uses my mobile phone as just that and is used when I need to get hold of someone while away from my land line. Sometimes it can be at least a month between using it and a very few people know my number so even though if I left it on other than the odd spam call it most likely would't ring.

I think a lot of people follow others in society, mobile phones have been pushed as something trendy and people are very addicted to them.
I have a very old and cheap mobile phone, cause it's not important for me to fit in with what everyone else is doing and it's been proven, that serious mental health issues arise from using mobile phone obsessively.

No for a date, yes for an exam. There’s a difference between going on a date and sitting an exam even if it doesn’t always feel like it.

If I ignore my phone 40% of the time generally this could be upwards of 80% on a date.. if she plays her cards right.

Dating is more like an interview and an exam...cause there will be man questions and answers, but if you answer wrong, then you failed, so it is a lot hard work and men do most of the talking

The one I have is $19 per month, and has 250 minutes, I don't have anyone to call, so I just leave it off. I'll never be a guy that needs to have a computer attached to my hip, when I leave the house, I leave the internet at home as well, for me, my life's better that way.

As LC intimates, I will turn it ON for the type of date from hell from which one sometimes needs immediate rescue. The conversation usually goes something like this. Thanks officer. How are you sure they are my twin girls? Their purses? They are still alive, but critical, and in hospital? Thank Goddess, but you really had to use the jaws of life to get at them. I'll be right there. Hpspital Terminal, you say, yes I know it. Have you called their mom.?-----Now, I make sure to use a loud voice, and act hysterical. I jump up and leave with little excuse and say I need to be alone at this time. Added benfit---if you endure her long enough to get some of the food down, often you can eat and skeet away, leaving her the bill. Is any of this sociopathic? I need to know.

I think your horse has already bolted in that respect, Lee, you could leave yours strapped to your head 24 hours a day and it would make very little difference. It's so nice to see you back, btw. wave

On a more serious note, no, I really won't switch it off...
I get 95% of my business appointments through my phone and even if I don't answer I don't want my clients to hear automated message...
I keep my phone only on vibration all the time, I can't stand all the silly songs people use for ring tones...so if someone calls me it won't be even noticed by my date...

You are a good looking woman with a good figure, so you must have offers for dates? Do u have a big laundry list of requirements? Must be 6ft, must have high paid job, must wear designer clothes, must look like a male model etc? Or are guys intimidated, cause of your looks and won't approach you?
