No self respecting man, or woman should hit anyone. Harm or anything that injures anyone is crimibalized. When to hit anyone justifies nothing. This barbaric act is a matter of anger that needs to be addressed as a social disorder.
My take is if someone does that no matter what provokes it, run away and let it be addressed accordingly. Anyone who does that is sick.

When a victim is killed defending himself or the other way around I meant to say if the original victim who is first attacked gets to kill the aggressor the burglar or the criminal the penalty of that act is not as heavy or high as the intent. Of course we have to defend ourselves but in that very moment will you make yourself in trouble, or could you have avoided it?

I know for a fact that it's an altercation when someone hits someone and it's responded by the same if not a stronger force.

Maybe yes.I just couldn't imagine me ever doing that....I feel bad for the flies that get squished on my windshield let alone harm a human.
This topic brought something to mind regarding my oldest son when he was between two and three years of age.There was a movie on tv where a man was assaulting a woman while I was in another room in our home I overheard my son ask his father "That's not how you get a kiss from a lady is it daddy?" I was in total shock to hear my son ask that kind of question cause I'd never heard a toddler his age ever ask that kind of question of their parents.

on the contrary Cav, there's thousands of cases where killing was involved in call of defense. My brother was involved and got killed. But in ordinary cases, that's far from the mere question of when to hit or not. I never advocate sny form of violence or harm. Defense is another story.
