Lots of people carry a big weight of responsibility. Yes it's a weight that causes illnesses, strokes, heart attack. But these people are extremely necessary in society. They keep everything running smoothly, to cater for the "could not care less", to be as they are, and the world still continues on it's tracks.
Are you a responsible person, or could you not care less either, as your type of person will always be catered for by the responsible, allowing you to be who you are?

ChesneyChrist: One day you may be glad for people who never amounted to anything in this world. My one and only real life hero was also a drifter and petty thief.
If you haven't amounted to anything yet, you still have a lot of time ahead of you, to do it. As long as anybody Want to do something, even when very old, nothing is keeping them back, except their own personalities!!!!
I am a brick of responsibility. Don't know where it came from. It just showed up one day in my adulthood. It has its perks. So I have let it live here within me. It is the reason I can look in the mirror and love who is looking back. It is the reason I can lay my head on my pillow and sleep good at night. Sometimes it is not easy. But it has always been the foundation that has kept me at my happiest. I also have a free wild side. But not at the expense of others.

I really love your honesty. Responsibility should be very important to everyone!

I think I am a responsible person and live up to all my obligations and promises , to often a promise is given lightly these days.
When it comes to others I am the responsibility itself... But when it comes to me...I'm pretty irresponsible sometimes... And could do with someone keeping me on the right path now and then...

Are you really that irresponsible, I would never have guessed!

Bearwoman: I was taught from a child to be responsible for my own actions etc.
You are one of very few. Most people shove all responsibility naturally onto anyone else, as long as it's not theirs. They are Not responsible for their actions at all, always someone else caused them to do it, definitely Not them.
Im pretty responsible...I have a whole thing I do before I leave the house including making sure my animals have enough food and water and usually changing their litter if im gonna be gone for a long while.....im slippin tho cause my memory is down to about 1 second long....

Lol. You sound like me! Hard work, being responsible?
smiley963: To be quite honest, I really cannot believe that anyone, any where can be totally without any responsibility: You do eat, which is a responsibility?
I didn't take the poll because I don't really like the options. I see responsibility as a bit more serious and rather important ethic principle on different levels: responsibility to other people (keeping promises, taking care and being dutiful, helping when one can, etc.), responsibility to oneself (taking care of oneself on all levels, taking responsibility for one's thoughts, words and actions, etc.), responsibility at work and business, responsibility to nature and environment, etc. In this view, taking care of the house and animals before leaving home seems a rather basic responsibility to me....

Responsibility to yourself and others, is a taken, or are we all inhuman?
So tell us, which responsibilities you have outside yourself and other people?
