Men don't want to say love first because they know it makes them vulnerable.
Vulnerable to getting hurt. They want to keep her guessing "Does he love me".
The love word makes men vulnerable to her demands, to make her happy, to "give in" to disagreements.
If he is the first one to say he loves her then she is going to think he will marry me.
"Love" has conditions in a male/female relationship.
The only time love is unconditional is when it's for your children and your dog

Men who are comfortable about themselves, and know what they want, do show emotional and also be "vulnerable" without insecurity, embarrassment, regret or apologies.
Those men/women who freak out about emotional vulnerability are the same men who complain about " bad women bad men", and forget that in life to have a greater chance of achievements in personal life, is when you really connect with "a partner" on a deeper level, by respect, openness and trust.
