I just don’t get why the other-gender hatred goes on in the cs forum threads. Why not do something positive and fun. Political crap is better than men bashing women and women bashing men.
I'm wondering why there is so much hatred in general in the forums. There's not a single day that goes by where someone is insulting another over the most asinine things and all it has done is create major negativity. It is the reason why I rarely post in the forums or log in anymore.
Social media allows anti-social behaviour with impunity. There are a lot of damaged people here who bring their neurosis to the forum. There's probably also too much vodka.

Are you speaking of yourself, cause it seems close??
I kid you not. They want to go back somewhat between 1930 - 1955. As if.. shows like, Leave It Beaver, was real life. As if women as a majority would even agree to that
A man's means have become redundant, but a woman's wiles have not. Hard power is now the result of government and industry, no generation in history has competed on the basis of soft power to the extent we do and for that reason you will find it's mostly men falling behind.
I don't know if this helps but it is not just on CS. I have noticed since I have been single that quite a few people who reach a certain age carry a lot of baggage called resentment and anger. Most likely resulting feeling from being hurt in previous relationships. It actually I can say scares people off that are not of that kin. This is only how I see it.
It's just the way social media the internet has made everyone, have you seen the hatred on Facebook lol you can't post anything without haters hating on it..it's pathetic.
Men are more cutthroat capitalist tending to be the best and worst example of something. Natural inequality.
Women are more like the welfare state and cosy capitalism. Nets and ceilings, things you need or a partner are more easily got and mistakes more easily forgiven but dissatisfaction is born on easy street. Challenges are not worthy of you, you don't trust life as a breeze and the men who make it that easy for you(normally because they're only after one thing). Woman is a being untested, a being of the middle.
For years people have seen hatred and divisive all around the world from nation to nation, from man to man, from men to women. It becomes part of brain activity to be negative no matter what you do.
It makes sense that it would spread to the CS community.

I agree that it's far to easy to focus on negativity. It pushes our buttons. A lot has to do with the anonymity of posting online. Even if one's identity is known there is physical and emotional distance that makes it "safer" to express negative commentary. I also agree that the more time one spends in negative bashing, the more the mind feeds on that and it cycles permanently to form ones state of mind.
I think people in the forums here tend to bring baggage or rejection from previous relationships, and can't let go of it long enough to consider that all men or women are not going to be like the previous partner that hurt them.

So nice to see you Felix Been a long time.
I agree that people in the forums bring baggage from their previous lifestyle whether it be loss of a job or loved one through divorce. There is so much tension in the world it's difficult for me to say it's not my problem so then I worry about everything.

It can be hard to optimistic sometimes. I used to do a lot of environmental activism back in the day, and one phrase that was tossed around a lot was " think globally, act locally" It made a lot of sense then and I think it makes a lot of sense in this context now. We can be concerned about world issues, but need to focus on things that we can really impact. A kind comment a least once a day. Recycle and purchase fewer items with lots of packaging. Buy local produce in season. Use less water and electric. Conserve gasoline Buy glass instead of plastic, don't litter. clean up after after oneself, be honest, follow the golden rule. Plant a tree. The world will be a better place if we collectively do what we can in our own little worlds

Hiya Felix Well said. Sage advice. One day at work, as I was walking down the hallway, I smiled at a student. He grinned back. Later that day, the CA came by and thanked me...saying that, for that student it would probably be the only smile he received that day. That really touched me, and changed me. Since that day I consciously, and genuinely, smile at someone everyday. It reminds me that we are all connected.
