I actually know a trans man who has been a family friend for nearly 15 years; he was a depressed and troubled fifteen year old girl when we met. . He began hormone therapy two years ago and is now a successful young artist with a Masters Degree and happier than I have ever known him to be. He was clearly in the wrong gender and this has probably saved his life.

For clarification - that reads like you're saying that ' this person has gained a masters degree and become a successful artist as the result of two years of hormone therapy ? '
And you're alleging that they would have died ( presumably suicided) without HT ?
