mollybaby: I watch all the old favourites if I've nothing else to do -Willy Wonka, Chitty etc
I think Love Actually is a good modern Christmas film.
Yeah, I forgot to put that in the list.
My favorite scene is when Hugh Grant is dancing at the top of the stairs, he comes down the stairs and thinks no one is around. He said in an interview that that scene was very difficult for him cause he has three left feet

Everybody is very well cast. There are so many great storylines and great actors in it.
secretagent09: There are several versions of A Christmas Carol Of the old ones I would pick the one with George C. Scott
I can't wait to see the new one coming on tv on Dec. 19th
George C Scott. Is there anything that he was not magnificent in?
The newer Christmas shows .. ugh.. I see too much PC agenda in new shows, so that ruins the entertainment aspect of it. I will stick with the old fashioned movies

Here's a obvious agenda..
Netflix comedy sees 1 million petition for its removal, for offending #Christians with depiction of #Jesus as #Gay The petition quickly formed and people continue to sign it in a push for the streaming service to take action against the group’s latest special for its alleged insensitivity toward Christians. Porta dos Fundos REMAINS UNDETERRED , however. Per Yahoo Entertainment, they posted a tweet linking to a different petition calling for its removal from Netflix and blasted their own comedy special as “tragic and sad.” “Porta dos Fundos values artistic freedom and humor through satire on the most diverse cultural themes of our society and believes that freedom of expression is an essential construction for a democratic country,” the group said in a statement to the outlet.
Where's their.. Budda & Allah gay shows? "Democracy and freedom of expression", right? (Their own words) Netflix, got weirder when both Obamas brought a big chuck of Netflix. I only know two people that still have it.

Do you mean only two people that you know still have Netflix service?
That doesn't make sense Cat. I must be misunderstanding.
donal63: didn't know that, but don't bother much now he is gone, just trying to get his work on dvd,his ex wife on Facebook but never replied to my message
Ex wife or widow? Just asking, because I wouldn't respond either to questions about my Ex husband.. lol

think they seperated but still married ,she was a nice looking woman did some good films together, anyway back on topic, its a wonderful life, watched black and whit and colour version ,no difference to me
CossackCat: Yes, only two people, that I know of.. still have NETFLIX. There has been a major boycott, long before that Christmas show.
So my daughter is one of the two people you know that still have Netflix. She has Netflix and some other streaming program.
Only an hour ago I was reminding her to record the new Christmas Carol and she said she no longer has a DVR cause they got rid of cable and don't have the box anymore
My response was I'd go crazy if I had to sit through 6-8 commercials. She said she watches movies on ON DEMAND.
secretagent09: I loved the interaction of Kate Winslet and the old Hollywood producer.
I'd be embarrassed to say how many times I have watched it
If you knew how many times I've watched The Martian I'd be sentenced to Siberia
Loved that bit too with the old guy (Eli Wallach). He's been in loads of movies down through the years including The Magnificent Seven. He died since The Holiday movie.

Hope this helps George C. Scott Movies | Movies.com
"It's a wonderful life ", I prefer Black and White, but will watch both. Sometimes colorization really messes up a movie. Remember "Jezebel" with Betty Davis That was scandalous colorizing that. .. (Her dress)
