I’m not watching this, I lived it way too many times. It is now really hard to get me to fly, has to be a really compelling reason, or F-it, I’d prefer to drive, good music, can stop for better snacks and to check out the shiny stuff along the road.
Friskyone: Yep and in the article it says it's under FBI investigation, I believe.
I would hate to be either one of them!
Correct Frisky. Air space is federal space. That's why FBI agents go aboard when ambitious travelers cause a commotion seriousness enough for the Captain to call the tower. That's an inconvenience to other travelers causing the plane usually to land at the first airport who can let the plane land.

It happened to me on a recent flight, the man behind me said he didn't have enough room for his legs, but a reclined seat does not affect the passengers behind in the leg/knee area. He kept pushing my seat upright and then sat with his knees pushed against it so I couldn't recline it. I called a stewardess, she explained politely to the man that his legs would not be affected if he lowered them. he started to argue with her and another crew member came and told him he had found another seat for him. He refused to change seats, I was asked if maybe I would keep the chair upright. I agreed as I was tired and not in the mood for a full confrontation. As I left the plane, I was given a piece of paper, which turned out to be an offer of an upgrade on my next flight. Malasia Airlines, nice company.
some people do believe that buying a ticket is almost buying a plane, they "own" it. They behave like they are in their home.
regarding the is article/video, that man is an idiot, behaving like that.
I always inform the person behind me that I am going to recline the seat, but I don't ask for permission - it is a courtesy. . Never had any problem, and do fly every week . .
I would say the man is in the wrong and if he had an issue with her seat being reclined, he should have taken it up with an attendant. What's the point of having reclining seats if they can't be used?
It’s obvious the guy is way out of line. The airlines should have told him to chill out and for them to think about exchange seats so that she was sitting behind him. You’d think airlines would train their attendants to deal with confrontations like this.
LaFonda: He is rude and a Bully. I bet it it were a man he would not hit the seat.
Now if someone recline and I can't move in my seat I would let the person know and ask to to sit up right.
People these days are so bloody rude.
I would have common courtesy to ask the person behind me if they minded if I reclined but there are a lot of bullies who would not allow it just to be a jerk.
I once put my carry on under a lady's seat. At touch down on the tarmac I slyly said "Excuse me, but I really must get between your legs." She smiled and spread 'em.

Yeah people just like to be nasty for no reason but thg he was cool of the airline to do that!

Friskyone: I would not have been as patient as she was
knowing she had an unpredictable , unstable guy behind her, perhaps thought it wise to leave it be until the plane lands. otherwise, let flight attendants deal with situation for moment. dont want stuff to kick off in mid flight. have to consider other passengers too, and their safety.
Friskyone: I wonder why the airline even has reclining chairs? It obviously causes issues.
Some airlines have removed the option to recline but if you’re flying over a 4 hour flight, a reclining seat makes the journey more comfortable. In economy class it is cramped enough so being able to recline makes life a little more tolerable.
Of course the bloke shouldn't of physically punched the back of her seat..But come on now she sat there fine with a smile..This Aussie would be up not sitting there just for the sake of being filmed so to get money and carry on all prissy like..Bloody FBI????????????..She wasn't murdered
He shouldn’t react like that to a spoilt madam entitled to crush your legs and knock your drink over. I think running her off the road down a dark country lane would be a better lesson in manners.
Either way climate change will make it even less likely to find roomy seats on a plane. What we really need are the manners of an oriental the etiquette of another race that has so much more history living like a sardine than we have.
Unless planes go the same way as the Cinema because you don’t need to be there to get the same result. Technology stops people travelling for some reason.
Personally speaking I would never recline my seat on the sardine like tins they call aeroplanes. There is little enough space already for people to endure their flight without the inconsiderate so-and-so in front of you deciding to steal your already tiny space. I am not saying that I agree with that bully who deliberately kept tapping on her seat. But, to me, it looked like she was enjoying the opportunity to video her annoyance instead of asking an air steward to deal with the problem. Reclining seats on standard flights are nothing more than lip service by greedy airlines trying to make gullible passengers think that there is an element of luxury when, in actual fact, flying is one of the most uncomfortable modes of transport that anybody can have.
