Yeah, I have issue with that one. When I was young, I was never brought to the doctor about anything, even when I really needed to go. Today, my left ear is nearly deaf because of the infections I used to get in it and was never brought to the doctor to get cleared up.
I guess yes its up to the parents but parents who don't look after their kids are deadbeats and always will be.

Sadly, I suspect this is more to do with neglect/lack of education than exercising parental rights
Especially in this country. There aren’t many people who refuse medicine on the grounds that they believe in a Jewish or other conspiracy controlling everything. They wouldn’t deny the kids medical treatment out of any peculiar vision or forethought, but because of negligence.

why? are you having second or third thoughts about the ``good intentions`` or doubts in the competence of someone who has a ``degree from the medical college ``
No....just because a parent might have certain beliefs it does not give them the right to neglect a childs health....they may believe that herbs will cure their childs ailment but if/when that leads to damage or the childs death they should be held responsible.....beliefs of a parent should never override a childs medical attention.....
I suppose it’s a bit like parents who stop their children going to school or let them hang around with grooming gangs. If the parents don’t care does this mean that we don’t too? Of course not.
I think they should put the needs of the child (and others who could be affected) above their own beliefs, especially if they are archaic religious beliefs.

If it means the child will live longer but stays ill and will die in the end, then I say refuse mt. Why torture him with sometimes painfully mt, staying in the hospital all the time? That's inhumane.

Their are no guarantees, take the chance. Anything could happen.
