Former United States President Barack Obama has reportedly described President Donald Trump's handling of the coronavirus pandemic as "an absolute chaotic disaster".
Obama has largely kept out of the fray even as Trump has blamed him and his Democratic administration for a variety of problems related to having sufficient supplies to battle the pandemic.
OT: I honestly think I had it in December... right before Xmas. I even wrote about it in the forums. I called it the worse flu I ever had. (and I rarely get sick)
As they've learned more about it, maybe really will have a vaccine by the end of the year, it just doesn't seem much different. They've already discovered a larger number of the population may have or already had it with no medical treatments sought. Combined with how liberally they label cause of death with it in the U.S., it just doesn't have the credibility it started out with. It does lend credit to their earlier mention of a high survivability rate.
It's a meaner strain than we've encountered but still not the killer they created a panic about. It's good possibility it went through my area earlier this year. We haven't been able to confirm it yet.
With out social media platforms like so many of the people I work with, I can't say yay or nay. A guy work with did have a sticker that said he survived the corona virus shortly before the shut down. I can't say that most of the workforce I work with aren't "jokers" of sorts either. He was absent from work for a while before that.

Not at all mikey. I was just pointing out the fact that I think that Spain has done really well compared to the Uk and America. Spain went into total "strict" lock down on 14th March. The Uk and America had hardly any cases then. My family are in the Uk and my friend lives in NJ, so obviously we keep in touch every day. Spain was the 2nd worst Country in the EU, with Italy being #1. America wasn't even on the "globe" along with the Uk back then. Now, I'm stating the fact of where the Uk and America is now. The Uk is the worst EU Country #1 and America is the worst Country in the World with deaths/infections. I can't alter the statistics. I'm just saying that Spain has done really well with our strict rules and now after 9 weeks, we are trying to ease our strict lock down. Which I think is a good thing but we are still quite frightened..................
Conrad73: you put a Virus into a Lab,poke it all over, testing it in all manners until you find that it will jump Species, then act surprised when it turn out extremely virulent, since there is nothing like in nature that could give Humanity some measure of immunity!
I don't understand your answer sorry Conrad. I think that many people from all over the world just don't get it or just don't want to believe what's happening. It's not for me to try and explain. We all have our opinions and who am I to try and change anyone's opinions? I'll stick to my music
What I hate is all the secrecy over just where the cases are. See numbers rise per county. So, where? Are they in a nursing home, prison, small town, large city. But NO, health dept cant say where, HEPA privacy you know. Bull..not asking name, rank and serial #, Just areas. Oh health cant, will cause people to get complacent then. Oh, really? And exactly what is happening in hot spots with crowds of protesters? I think they don't want the truth out. Whether it is over blown or under known. I had a flu last fall. Was it? Someone said they thought they had it in November. Wisconsin has been shut pretty tight. And extended to May 26. Hasn't stopped numbers rising. Will we ever know the truth? Or will it be like the rest of big brother and learn it in 20-50 years from now.

Anytime the right doesn't like reality they try to call it fake news. They think reality TV is real cause its called "reality". " Gomer PYLE says so" is there motto.

Imagine if someone you associate with everyday is going through chemo for cancer. Would you bring covid into the picture They'd die if you did. Could or would you live with knowing was your fault If you can't even protect yourself How the heck could you protect those who are already battling to stay alive Who is more worthy to stay alive
Orzzz: I notice the bulk of replies are not from the US. Is Covid real? Yes. But, questioning now the numbers of deaths promoted by governments and media. This has made a mess of Trumps boom times. Are the Democrats enjoying it..YES! There are so many conspiracy theories out there. Which are true? We have no way of knowing. The US is a vast country. Much of the cases are in the major, MAJOR cities. Wherever people are shoved arm pit to tuss hole, that is where the cases soar. Not so much in the rural areas where people don't pack buildings and streets. My county is large, sixty miles square. So of the 32 total cases so far, exactly where were they? Clustered? Separate? And yet the whole state goes on mega stay home ordered by a Democrat Governor. Now state gov is whining, take from taxes is down. So excuse to lay off and shut down and put the little guy out the door. Yet fast food and restaurants are considered essential and bring people out. Grocery yes..but restaurants are a luxury or for lazy people who refuse to cook. The problem I see are people who say damn the torpedoes, I want to do whatever I want, up yours. There are the risks and reason for total shut down. I see it that let them mingle, sicken and die. The smart ones will wear gloves, masks, disinfect, stay six feet apart and avoid crowds. And start handing out the Darwin Awards.
I don't think here we will ever know the true numbers. I have known two. One died one is still alive and infected. I have always had a distrust of drs. So just saying this is what their medical records read. I do take precautions. And wear a mask. I also have found since wearing the mask this has been my best allergy season ever. I don't have sinus problems I am a theorist. So I am always looking for more than one reason. I love the gray areas. They didn't post our recovery rate here at first but now they do and have been for a while. All the governors appear to be whining about the tax. Maybe they should of saved for a rainy day. I am unsure about cities but I know mine has rainy day money. I have no problem with those who do not want to practice safety. I am responsible for me and my safety. My question would be I am seeing things here I have not seen in years. Types of snakes and bugs I thought was gone for good. And the birds omg they are singing to the heavens Is anyone out there seeing any changes such as that in their areas?
