I own a 3G flip dumbphone, pre-paid for emergency only. And landline. Neither do long distance and every text or call costs me. But, buy units and it works out to maybe $3 a month. Handy if I crack my head in ice in the barn or car breaks down..hello AAA.
No interest in a Smartphone..don't need it and just try to track me on a burner phone.tongue

Motorola Moto G6+... Bought it over a year go... I am happy with it... It's compared to a Samsung S9... Bought it instead of the S9 because of the battery (The most important part of the phone) and hell it lasts... bouquet

The A70 is notorious for leakage. My friend had problems with his also and these apps helped.

You can go to the Play Store and install the following 3 Apps.

1) NoRootFirewall.
As each new app pops up when online you can either allow it or not allow it on the Net and most you don't need unless they're important system Android apps. Or you can go directly into Settings and either allow or not allow permissions or have someone do it for you. No root or flashing is required.

2) DataEye.
This is good for provider-based data and even WiFi. A bit easier. When a new app wants to escape just shut it off when the reminder pops up. Once complete set in memory difficulties are rare unless you eventually have to do a factory level recovery and start over.

3) Don't use the Google browser. Switch to Brave. Go through settings carefully by activating all shields and using DuckDuckGo as your search engine. Blocks ads, most fingerprinting, and BS.

Thank you for that , I've already rooted , won't have a phone without doing that now that way I can get rid of the bloatware . I use discord for my needs , those guys are dead savvy but I can't give up Google , this is my second A series , I did the 50 last year and that was a total shock , so buggy and I can understand why . But it's the Bixi guy thing I can't seem to turn off ...... When he randomly goes , Hello , let me help you with that uh oh laugh

So I haven't done any other phones , I'm a Samsung galaxy lassie through and through . I do all the beta programmes to keep up with coding and HTML coding which is now becoming difficult on Google as they refuse to let me copy links on the original browser , so I use Firefox Focus now and I've not switched back since . But I'd really like to design my own browser ....... One two I can switch windows on and small screen , I've yet to find a browser that switches seamlessly and I've yet to find a browser for split screening that doesn't warp the size of the screen dimensions .

Anyway this went on for a long ..... long long time laugh but thank you for sharing thumbs up I will try out data eye , I haven't heard of that one before so I'm downloading it now . Thank you again wine

Well, if you rooted the phone that's great since you already got rid of most of the bloatware, you can also add a new ROM or OS of your choice...still on your model not really necessary. XDA developers and Androidforums are good also for modifications with more complicated installations and yet I have to go beyond normal apps for what I need on my phones. You also don't necessarily have to use Google play store for apps... you can also get most of the stuff you need using an APK Pure download and no Gmail account unless you have to use a backdoor. If you have a fast Windows 10 laptop you can also download Blue Stacks ( an Android emulator or TRex which is extremely hard to find ) and easily mesh both systems.

Glad I could help... good luck.

I like the Brave browser and Data Eye can save you a lot of unnecessary charges locking down to what you only need.

I liked my old Nokia. See they started to make them again for people tired of smartphones. At first I was yay Then thought it over. They were bulky. Decided I like the flip phone. Smaller and compact and the face is protected. My scanner is constant with mis-dialed 911..pocket dials more than often. My guy says how cause his cell has to be activated to dial. Yeah? Then why do you want my number in as last called when you pocket dial???frustrated scold roll eyes
By what I read, some smartphones have an emergency button that can be hit by accident.
One thing I hate is someone with a smart phone texting me. I am hunt and pecking a reply and get 2 more from him...argh...give me a chance!!!blues
