You need a depends. Like on how rabid the person is. My fella and I believe mostly similar. But, we can get into it over his addiction to youtube videos and conspiracy theories. Also aliens..and mothman and...anyway, to keep the peace, I try to listen and shut up. Since we don't live together, it is easier. But, I can see two who do getting into some horrid fights over politics. Or anything else. So when one person is rabid and the other is rabid the opposite, forget it. On any subjects. Or even if only one is rabid because at some point the other will get sick of hearing it.
Women are feelings-based and they can't really agree to disagree because they trust the teller and not the tale. The personal is political and if she likes you she defends your views. Particular to outsiders, particularly when you're not around.
Of course... It has, it does and it will... I am NOT dating ANYONE that supports these criminals that have taken over my country... I have seen businesses of the families of a few girls I went to school with been EXPROPRIATED, among thousands of others... Very prosperous businesses that had been running for over 60 years... A lot of decent people whose lands were stolen, committed suicide... The list of crimes is so long... I just ask a simple question to the males that message me here or anywhere else... Depending on their answers, they are given a chance or they are immediately blocked... No exceptions...

Not to dissimilar to Britain really . The only difference is that they are more subtle in their approach & to be honest , the other alternatives are worse than the other .
many of my views and interests, and those of someone i would get to know, effect my choices. i don't see it as limiting...i see it as discerning. while i believe letting go of some 'beliefs' that no longer serve, .... benefit oneself or others, that would be dependent on one's expansion.
I wouldn't like to date a person who is too political (for example: an active member of a political party) or too passionate about politics (for example: spends his free time fighting about politics on social media). I want a moderate, realistic and reasonable man.
Cavalero: No. It's already hard enough to find someone who shares my interests and morals but if I have to take politics into account I might as well go monk.
Sounds like you would be submissive and let them make all the decisions

Tell the truth...my ex used to love soaps on the Tv and I could not stand them...but did put up with watching them for years....then when things were not working out...I watched tv in another room and could no longer tolerate the soaps or was it her
You don't want to be in conflict with the one you go to bed with each night and I think enjoying interesting together is so important...caring about someone...does not mean you truly love them and I never once...said those words to her
I was not big into politics at the time...but now I know how much it controls our lives...laws...society...speech etc and that's never a good thing

Sadly the criminals never pay the price and just get much worse

I'm sure many have compromised on things...but I think political beliefs are much like a religion and hard to shift people on

I know, Lee... And sadly there's not much I can do at the moment to change that... What I can, is make sure I choose a man that is not a lunatic that supports them in any way...

I'm not a member of a political party and don't trust politicians...but would say I was right of centre and would expose the corrupt...what ever the political party and have already done this...many times

I would also like to avoid the lunatics and extreme left wingers...
I need someone I can have adult...mature...rational...discussions without anything offending her in any way...A real woman....with a good heart and I woman...who will listen to me...agree with me and smile
LeeCharming: Maybe You can help me understand if you explain
Well whatever political views the guy has will be the ones that will be the make or break. Whether his are compatible with mine... so the question is "Will the political views of the prospective date limit their chance of being dated" ... I'm putting the focus on the date's political views rather than my own ... conversely, my own political views may limit whether a guy might date me ...

would you convert to his political views...if they made more sense than yours

To be honest I don't do politics ... if his views are not extremists one way or another, I don't need to convert,.. he can just get on with it ... I have one kind of rule under my roof ... no extreme views on politics or religion ...

Feminism is part of politics and it's a belief system....What if he did not like or agree with feminism...would that be the cut off point

Feminism is perceived very differently by different men and even women. So first we would have to have a conversation where we share what we think "feminism" means ... We might agree on the "principles" but not what we call it. In which case there is no cut off point
