Hello Ladies and Gentleman, This poll is about first date options that are popular settings. Everyone has a different style. I was curious to get some input on this subject and to strike up some interest. As you can see there are quite a few options to decide for a first date.
Well, depending on how you initially met each other. Such as, being introduced to one another through a common friend, and was just a quick hello. I think it's a good idea to phone each other first. In my opinion, a first date should be somewhere where you can communicate effectively. A movie doesn't help with that, such as concerts, etc. I think bowling is a good way to communicate because the environment allows you to get to know someone in a fun environment and maybe a late dinner. Outdoor activities are great too but not everybody enjoys the outdoors, i.e. hiking, rock climbing, etc.
Hope that helps. I can't even remember the last time I went on a date, so what do I know!
Somewhere public where you can watch the public, and talk about them privately. Make up ridiculous stories about all of the strangers. It's you two against the world.

I do that all the time with my friend, pick out cheating couples, or young romance couples or old and in love couples! We even give them names
Weather permitting, a coffee, then a nice walk in the park with some lovely conversation, then if both connect on a spiritual level a gentle game of "Hide the sausage"
Well... the usual mode on this site is that the man takes the initiative –
– they don’t like when the woman makes the first step. Perhaps, rightly, as the majority has no chance ever to be found interesting enough (sheep jokes, anybody?) –
and his usual idea of the first date is lunch/dinner.
Agree, it’s a practical and safe approach: you meet in a public place and everybody has to eat. It’s also very boring. He will tell you pieces of his biography, that he thinks you are eager to learn – like what a stallion he used to be 30 years ago – sometimes spiced with great sense of humour (sausage jokes, anybody?).
My old pelagic self prefers a slightly more adventurous pastime – ‘coz life begins at the end of your comfort zone – like paddling kayak or sailing. You won’t hear much about his life-story, as he’d be busy navigating around ground waters or raising the spinnaker. And when you on the open water and everything works smoothly, what is there to say? Exactly nothing. Just take in the light on the waves and the wind in the sails, the feeling of liberation that comes with being on the sea. Open your senses and enjoy the moment in silence, as it too shall pass. Besides, you have already observed everything you need to know about your date.
Also, the outdoorsy types tend to be fitter, than memoir-tellers.
Funny enough I've always thought a first date should be a snapshot of what either of the couple do or can do . I asked one young woman if she wanted to give me a hand to mark the calves . Horse based , miles from any road , element of danger , it was then an epic job in this area . It was some time before the job was due and in the meantime she got interested in another guy , Doing something like this would have shown up the keepers , including me .
