TV shows, what is the worst genre? (11)
Due to cable network reforms , I've stopped watching TV this days.. I don't like their present network policy... 
Before that , I mostly liked to watch crime , comedy , informative (discovery/nat geo etc.) And news ...

Reality is definitely the worst. Mainly because it's not reality and is always scripted ..

Love is about as terrible as it's possible to get. Unless it's on reality television and they really are that stupid. Lovey acting is as terrible as its possible to get.

Documentaries for me, where they show the lives of "real" people. They have movie rolls of when they were young, growing up etc... I also enjoy watching the autopsies of famous people and how in latter years, they find new evidence to eradicate the old evidence. Yeah! I'm one weird old cookie

Not sure which I think is the worst, but I will say some of the sarcasm/attempts at humor, etc...on some crime shows is just a bit annoying. Like, on one awhile back, a struggling office worker was moonlighting as a call-girl, and was killed. One of the detectives said,
“If she knew this might happen she wouldn’t have spent so much on perfume..” remarks like this aren’t really “funny”, and they undermine the victims who do get harmed. Some things just aren’t funny...

Not always Geno. If you watch certain Documentaries, those old movies can't or won't be "doctored" To each their own though

I agree with certain things but a true crime documentary will only show you genuine photos and have members of the family in the interviews. Reality but game shows are a close second. What makes a great TV show. Script, plot, set design, actors...what makes a good reality or game show..none of the above.
Producers have glormed onto a free ride. Get some sponsors to fork over cash. Get some people willing to act like idiots on TV. Bingo..free ride!
Follow people around who live abnormal lives. No one wants to watch ma cook and clean. Nor dad sit at the work station all day. Find out the best way to make fools out of people that bored on bullying and torture and film it. Promise cash rewards to the winner. Pro-rated, taxes and annuitied.
I think Ellen is a vicious cow. Her game show is mean and bullying. Laugh at the fool getting slammed by some disgusting stuff. Or slammed to the floor while she laughes at them. Then go tell your kid bullying is wrong.
Reality, walk me through their homes and show me the decor. Take me to a store to shop with them. Discuss the world issues with them. I dont care if that dress makes their butt bigger. Or if he or she is having an affair. Like the Bachelor/ette shows. If I had that much drama dating I would become a Nun. Or Monk.
