I think...cause you can't...moderate your own threads...more people...would be inclined to comment...than they would on blogs...but it also give the trolls a chance to do their thing
The threads have more variety of choice...than the blogs and you can quote others comments with ease...so it can be less of a hassle...to reply to others and a more laid back approach
On forums I'm tolerated, probably considered that serious guy who arrive with strong opinions now and then. On blogs I feel at home. 1 out of 2 ain't bad.
There's a difference yes, but the good thing about threads is that it's still alive somehow when blogs occasionally grind to a stand still.

Seems like a tough crowd to please on the blogs and i would agree.. it can drag on a bit...get a bit desperate...like bumping of blogs...from 2012 wft talk about living in the past

That's why I disable comments on my blogs, after a couple of days... No sense in resurrecting ghosts from the past...

Maybe the blogs should be archived after six months...to make room for new content and stop all these daydreamers...living in the past and having their pipe dreams...about how things used to be
a couple of decent blogs from a couple of ladies recently and one was a lot of fun...but so many others don't have the same attitude to posting and don't put the effort in
with so many things to talk about....it seems strange so many are silent and lifeless
As the Thread area has No Option to Edit or Delete or Blocking , so once a Thread is posted , Thread Creator has No Control over it ... So , if you really want to experience the "Freedom Of Expression" , then only Threads are the right place for that ...
So , when someone Creates a Thread , he/she consciously became prepared to Welcome all kind of responses on the Thread ..
So in my Personal opinion , if someone Dares to create a Thread even after knowing all the possible consequences , then they are MOST WELCOMING comparing to other creators in other areas (Article , Blog , Poem etc..) ...
