jimgi: Couldn't see him getting the "Cead mile failte" here somehow.
So long as he gets the DCM from the British crown , the "Don't Come Monday" one , I don't mind how welcome he is in Ireland . I'm sure his mother could afford a remittance for him , he does fit the bill for a remittance man .
epirb: You don't like the idea of a united Ireland ? if you do don't assume you will be running it .
How you work that out? You should keep up with what's happening here, a United Ireland has become more attainable from Brexit, and Sinn Fein are set to become the largest party after the next election..

Most likely he'll be getting the DCM wherever he ends up. He's like a stray mongrel now - nobody wants him. Being King of Ireland might leave him in Mountbatten territory.

That is the issue and a shared problem is a halved problem . So long as he's not messing around in boats he would be safe .

We are witnessing the last throes of a dying breed of bigots, unionism is in turmoil and all they have to offer is stunts..
"Our revenge will be the laughter of our children" Bobby Sands
epirb: And that is a backward glance . You talk of unionism bigots but don't mention the catholic ones , do you think the young do not see both ?
Well they are the ones showing us the bigotry and doing all the sabre rattle, thousands of them were out marching in a storm on Friday night past, protesting about the protocol, it makes me laugh that they have to protest and collapse the institutions to remain British.. Of course we learn from history, doesn't mean we have to repeat it..
I like the thinking. Two black sheep of the family taken out in one go, but then you can't just put a man down, can you? - particularly not when it's family.
