Best sandwich ... very lightly toasted wholemeal bun (from the bakers not from a plastic bag in a supermarket). Cut in halves. Gently rub raw garlic on each side (not too much). Pour olive oil on both halves and let soak in. Fill it with ham (honey roast or parma), slices or ripe juicy tomato, rocket leaves, goats cheese and if you're very hungry a fried egg with the yoke still runny.

2 slices of sourdough bread
2 rashers of back bacon, smoked and thick-cut, ideally with a decent amount of fat
1 tomato
lettuce
1 spring onion, cut into thin slices
mayonnaise,
