Does anyone eat meat anymore? (42)
Just got back from a Church friend's funeral. They served pulled pork afterwards and they gave me enough leftovers to last me a few days. I just love pulled pork.

I almost reached my weight loss goal last week. I dropped forty pounds in less than two months. Ten more pounds off and I will be at 185 and weigh as much as I did when I retired in 2007.. ... Yes but I've never been a foody or understood why that's worth mentioning. You like to eat food? Wow what on earth are you going to do next the suspense is killing me.
So anyway because I don't really like food I still prefer meat which to me speaks volumes about the superiority of meat. Eating meat takes next to no time and is enough to sustain you throughout the day, the only drawback is going to the bathroom for about 30 minutes.

Food and a little exercise...
<> I eat 1.5 ounces total of walnuts, almonds and walnuts in the morning and again in the afternoon on top of more veggies, fish and smaller portions of meat. Larger portions of my favorite meat allowed on weekends. Peanuts fiber made me feel full/less appetite.
<> Swim ~2 miles every other day except sunday when i just crash in war water spa and sauna. Free weights at home.

I've been a vegetarian for years.
Tomorrow I'm cooking a ratatouille provençale with pilaf rice and fried plantains.
I finally learn of someone who likes plantains. seems like all of my regular cuban dishes including my favorite Adobo Pork Loin hav plantains. I leave them. Wrong texture for me. I've been a vegetarian for years.

The Pastor of my Church and his wife invited me to have bar-b-que ribs at their house on Memorial Day. They also had cesar salad, corn on the cob and a klondike bar for dessert. Even got to take some food home with me. In December I bought an exercise bike for 10 bucks at a yard sale and put it in front of my computer and watch YouTube videos while I pedal on it for a couple of hours a day. I was 215 pounds before covid and last week I was 168 pounds. I spend one day a week swimming for about 4 hours. Good luck on the vegan diet, Ken! The Publix grocery store chain in Florida all have a free scale to weigh yourself in the front of the stores.I'm going vegan starting Monday. That's a great weight for your height and age. My target weight is 185ish. My primary physician cautioned me at my age that I should keep some fat in case I get sick and lose all appetite for an extended time.------ This poll is Archived ------

Same for me.I hunted in my early years and dressed the carcass and gave a big part of the meat to local tribesmen.
Cave paintings for the last 60 000 years show hunting scenes but no salad scenes.
We were meant to eat meat.
