I am looking forward to the music...and, decorating my home....
I have been looking at decorations for the yard in the stores...I gave all of mine away when I moved... Said, I would never decorate outside again...Never say never...
We finally had some cooler weather here...A very nice change...

Most of us (women) like the music and the decorating for sure.
Coldheaven: For Christmas time my sister in law provides a Christmas dinner at her restaurant for all the staff working for my family through the whole year

I hear Mother Christmas is giving out more than xmas xxxxxx this year, in her attempt to become the first Prime Minister of the year
It is indeed the kitchen makes three turkeys with all the trimmings .it used to be two but then my sister in law bought the next door restaurant and joined it onto hers . So now it’s a double place.

Good 'Christmastime' food (and drink ) could definitely make the end of the year feel special.
Christmas for me is a time of year when a great number of people have time off work and so it's easier to organise gatherings with loved ones and friends. And if we can share good food and a few hugs, singing and a few games and some catching with one another's life, even better

Sounds like great fun Selenite. That for me is the ideal way to spend it. Food. fun. family.

I'll see my kids and grandkids in England in November this year then go to my Mum's in France in December. My bros and sis and offsprings will visit and I'll probably cook for everyone ... My Mum is also turning 90 just after Christmas...
Didi7: I could imagine...Everyone seems to be dining out more at Christmastime, especially when there are staff luncheons and staff dinners to be had.
Yes didi. When you work in the restaurant/ catering /takeaway industry everyone has been saving up their money to splash out at Xmas so our business rakes in the money at this time.

KarloradoFL: Too early to worry about Christmas. This month it's Halloween and next month is Thanksgiving.
That may be so Karl, but I think more people get excited about Christmas than they do about Halloween and Thanksgiving. Not everybody is interested in Halloween, besides. Some have even started their Christmas planning and preparations already, even though it's way after those first 2 holidays you mentioned.
