Para I would say this to you and to anyone else on here. I lead a very busy life(work, child rearing etc..)so I don't really have a whole lot of time left over for making creative lies on the internet. I put up my profile and real pics of myself so that there is no doubt about what I am looking for. The fact that I took the time to do this is because I don't like to waste time. They say what you put in is what you get out. I'm by no means perfect but I'm not on here to attract liers to myself (not that that has prevented scammers and other time wasters)so I don't lie in the HOPES that those I come across will also be truthful.

Yes, I am honest and expect the same. To that end, I have included specific information in my profile. I was completely upfront and as clear as possible about wanting to meet a guy with COMMON INTERESTS, in my age range for friendship (not friends w/benefits)
Everyone has a variety of interests and they don't have to mirror my interests but I am also specific about what doesn't interest me.On occasion, I have chosen to initiate first contact after reading an interesting profile. I take the time to explain what it was about their profile and common interests that prompted me to contact them.
Unfortunately, most of the men who have contacted me don't even mention the very interests I have listed or what about my profile makes them think we should or could become great friends.
Don't get me wrong, they seem like nice enough guys but it shouldn't be up to me to drag information from them about what kind of books they like to read, what kind of music is currently on their Ipod, etc. I don't want to waste anyone's time or lead anyone on. I also don't want anyone to waste my time.

The Pope can speak for himself but when about 95% of the mail you get is from scammers there really is not a lot of time for conversation let alone lies since I get real cozy with the delete botton. As for the rest well what you see is what you get.
