I used to go to a place where people did country line & couples dancing. They gave lessons before they started the night. I'd go out once a week & learn the steps.
ladyfingers: I did too, but I still don't got rhythm
Heck, my mom put me in those lessons because she learned that the only time I wasn't a klutz was when there was music playing. To this day I'll trip over my own two feet without it! Put the music one, I'm like a gazelle.

You are so lucky. I envied the kids that were so agile.

I droped a red hot piece of metal in my boot and was break dancing like you wouldnt believe . That chunk of slag taught me to break dance. Does that count?

No, that means you have a natural talent, but that doesn't count as taking lessons. Unless you were repeating that lesson regularly
Some, I'd rather learn moves from my customers. One guy is the best country dance dude, ever! One chick stops traffic and ties up aisles when she dances. She dances by herself and everyone backs up to watch. Worse yet, they crowd up to watch her! All ages, both genders...she dances and I can't get through the crowd.
