Forum posts... definitely number one... and then a witty introduction in the profile... then picture.. then occupation.. I like creative and educated people... although I know its not necessary cause the most intelligent people I have known have not been educated (in the conventional way).. but I do look I have to confess...

I don't really spend time in the Forums, this was/is a rare visit... for me it is first and foremost an intelligent, provocative, or cute, comments/conversation in Chat (or likewise, the Forums)... After that it is just their location, curious about any/all that are actually in the same vacinity as me; as that is so rare on this sites, we are so spread out... It would take alot to get me involved in a LDR again - I learned from the ex-wife that you just really cannot get to know that person sufficiently over long distances...
Yeah I know.. I prefer to know a little about a person first before I engage in any furthe conversation with them.. now while my judgment is rather flawed at times .. I still prefer it this way.. guys sending me flowers and telling me I am 'pretty' 'beautiful' etc.. or mails with 'hi how are u?' just don't inspire me to engage.. when I see a person interact on the forum it inspires me to want to be friends with them.. and I guess its just circumstances after that.. not all interactions will lead to anything but its nice to chat to people that you find interesting and that u like as people...

Ambrose2007: THe forums are a fantastic way to get to know someone. Seeing people in "action" tells more about them than the often inaccurate and sketchy profile texts do...
Yep, but more-so even for the Chat room... Forums, give people long periods of time to reflect on what and how to comment, and therefore do not demonstrate how well they really interact... Chat rooms reflect a more real-time interaction, and how they relate to people during periods of one on one, few folks, and/or a crowd... A little more of their personality, in the banter, is likely to come through, and some occasional slips ... Forums allow for more in-depth (at times) discussion(s) and individual answers; but like I said, I wanna know how quick they are on their feet and glimpse their character.
