US Navy video of Iran fast boats running ahead of Navy Vessels passing thru the Straits of Hormus has recently been shown. No incident occurred. But warnings given and weapons were readied.
Interesting that it timed with President Bush's arrival in the Middle East. Also interesting is the location it occurred, the Strait of Hormus. For you that might be unaware, the strait pass most of the oil coming from the Gulf states.
Iran just got the first of Russian nuclear fuel rods for its nuclear plant. Will get some 80 tons of them.
Iran says the video and audio tapes are fabricated by the Navy.

Its too easy ,too timely too convenient. I have heard this is not a isolated incident but what worries me is this footage was released by our military why show or allow this to be made public.... what is to be gained. I know Wall Street had a hellava day because of it. yeah my doubts continue to rise.
I wish the US would have blown them out of the water, just to show that "mistakes" can be made on both sides, so they should really pull back on the offensive maneuvers if they want to stay in one piece.
I do believe they were testing our forces, and just hope we showed them enough so they will quit.
Seems like posturing on both sides. It should probably be pointed out that Iran has a coastline on one side of the straits of Hormuz. Would the same attitude be taken if US fast boats went ahead of Iranian warships off New Orleans for example?
No...what concern me is an American president that is hell bent on a war with Iran. What concerns me is a video presented by the same production company that brought us the WMDs in Iraq. What concerns me in an intelligence community that has said for years that Iran was building Nukes...then changes their mind and said Iran stopped in2003. What concens me is that India, Oakistan. Israel all have Nukes, but the U.S. singles out Iran and tells them no!
Ship I agree with ya on most points. Israel is allowed have nukes as its the only democracy in the middle east and as long as they have nukes nobody will invade them or attack them big time. Also India is a democracy which is why there is no fuss with them having them. Pakistan is an ally of the west and we can't piss them of by saying you can't have nukes. Also they would be mad if India was allowed keep their nukes.
I watched the Iranian video tape version. I picked this up that Captian of the fast boat identified himself a being Captian of a "Iranian Navy Vessel" think his terms were.
So scratch the idea that might have been a some civie out for a cruise and decided to play games with the 7th fleet.
The other is this. There is such a thing a magentic limpet mine. It basic float in the water and then is drawn to the vessel by magentic force. Large ships like the US Navy vessel have long distance to stop or turn.
Remember the Iranian were saying now in "2 minutes you sink" ? With these limpet mines they could badly damage a vessel and possibly sunk it, if they were deploying them in front.
This was a real threat. I think the US crews and Captians did a good job on this. I also think that the next time they go thru the Strait of Hormuz, that they should have thier helo launches. Maybe the games will stop.
