This could be a good thread... ya'll have a thoughtful discussion.
I'll just lay back and watch tonight as I'm reviewing various news articles about Dennis Kucinich's DEMAND for a recount in New Hampshire primary as he feels there was voter irregularity.

I also think that the social security problem needs to be addressed....and its amazing to me how it has suddenly taken a back seat within the campaign issues...
It needs to be noted that there are only a number of 15- 20 yrs when the baby boomers babies are all reaching retirement age....not very much time to find a solution or put it into use,,,trial and error time allotment allowed it is going to take longer than we have to fix this problem and then what? JMHO

I don't claim to be au fait with the intricacies of US domestic issues but with what little I do know.....
1. Finally put effective measures in place to assist all those poor people who were caught up in the hurricanes. Still not sorted, is it?
2. Look at structuring some kind of affordable healthcare scheme.
3. Illegal immigration seems to be an issue, so look at ways to tackle that.
4. Look more closely at combatting green/environmental issues.
On a more global scale, work harder and quicker to establish some kind of infrastructure to an Iraqui democracy and governing policies, so that all the troops can finally come home.
Just a few thoughts off the top of my head.... for what little it's worth??

The reasons for all these problems in my opinion is this
Our noses are too busy outside of this country and not in it...If this so-called mickey mouse run government of ours would put as much effort into this country as it does in its on agenda we would have had these things fixed by now....
all i see here, are mean-spirited..rude..crude selfish zombies...who will do whatever they are told to think whatever they are told and not have enough coochies to stand up and speak their mind for fear of being persecuted for it...
personally, this is not going to gert better beforer it gets worse as long as noone is willing to steer the boat it will remain of course and eventually crash and burn.....jodi

Standard republican proceedure my dear ... war and big biz .. check your history. yes repubs do some internal stuff but it's bandaid stuff.
Time for a democrat if you want internal solutions and money spent on its citizens. yes democrats do some external stuff, wars and big biz but usually hit and run stuff.

Definitely health care,
and what can we do about streaming some of the goodies into our country,that we have been sending into foriegn coffers.
I have always believed in the law of resiprocity,but maybe it is time to pull back a little, and think of our own, or at least start sending that money to places that really could benefit like Darfur,Zimbabwae, Madagascar, there are plenty of places that could use the step up, put into countries that are caught in a day to day struggle to live

Here in Canada...Quebec, more specifically, a couple of inventors came up with the perfect electric car, problem is, they aren't up to the standards for this country, and everytime they conform to the given standards, the government changes them. They sell like hot-cakes in the states, and around the world. If the government doesn't change their ways, these men are going to fold up shop and move out of Canada.

As far as the war in Irac, and Afganistan, I still believe that the main reason was drugs, secondly, another reason I believe was that the Saudis' were planning on kicking the U.S Air Force out of there. And a good place to move it would have been Irac.

Ship: what should be the most important concern for an America president
Coming up with some kind of National Health Service for everyone. So 'Everyone' can get FREE Healthcare.. Dental care/ Eye care etc (also)..
and (almost) everyone gets the right to free medication. Means tested- how much moola you have.. so that you would only pay if prescriptions if you were loaded. (that means RICH in the UK... not drunk btw haha)
