paws2: The Long Count Calendar of the Ancient Mayans ends on Dec 21 2012. Many believe that this and other ancient writings (Bible) signals the end of times as we know it. Judging by the lack of concern by all nations for the deteriorating planet, the Mayans might have been right.
I think we will last a little longer... that end of the mayan calendar does not necessarily have to do with a interruption in historical time. I think that stuff has been used so comercially as usual.We still have time for some more fun and more stupidity to grow...

2012 a big question. Well, fact is, the Planets stand like a pearl chain behind each other at this day. What it finally means, who knows? Rumors claim that scientists say, a big Planet will collide with the Earth. An esoteric claim is, we rise, but only the believers. What finally happens, we know if it`s there. No government will tell us, now it`s over. On the other hand, if there is an other Planet which kill the Earth, what should we do? Nothing. What ever could happen, we know it at this date.

lol...another opinion man. Did you even listen to Dr.Michio Kaku on that link? No. Have you investigated into this? Probably not since you like to make shallow blanket statements.
I'm more inclined to side with the scientists on this matter since they do study this. They have good evidence to back up their theories...and you only have opinion and not one shred of evidence to back up your claim. Stop making blanket statements and back up what you say.

If you don't know anything, then don't even try to speak for everyone. You said:

Your assumption was brutally wrong. I was not aware Hollywood was glamorizing 2012 20 years ago or even 10 years ago. It's a well known theory in the occult world, among religions (doomsday prophecies/beginning of a new earth), and among the Native Indians/Sumerians/Egyptians who had an advanced knowledge of the alignment of the positioning of the stars before the telescope was even invented.
