I think that the world as we know it will end, but not that it's the end of the world. And whether or not we survive it is up to us. We have an evolutionary leap to make, and only a little over two years to do it in. And yes, that's possible.

StressFree: I don't think he was joking. There is a well structured theory on that. It's wacky and basically says that some beings (Anunnaki) from planet X (Nibiru) came to Earth about 5 thousand years ago and changed our DNA for various reasons. They supposedly designed the pyramids.
This is also similar to the theory in Gold of the Gods and Chariot of the Gods. I believe it's possible that there's truth in it. And good to see you, T!

It's only a theory that is out there and I am in not in any way trying to sell it as my truth, just pointing out this particular theory. From the way I see it, there are a lot of loose "facts" in the Sitichin-Erich von Dänikenian view.

Anyone foolish enough to think this can contact me via email on my profile and give me all of their houses, money and cars and I will take the risk that it won't end in 2012.
This has been proven time and time again to not be true through many studies and is just another ridiculous thing to believe in. I'm not going to explain it but their reasoning sounds like it's from a bad acid trip.
It's kind of like the fools that spent hundreds, and companies that spent thousands of dollars to protect from the Y2k computer "scare".
People were acting like the world might end and it was beyond funny when other than third world countries, nothing happened.

It is said all the planets in our solar system will be in a direct line with each other on that date in 2012 for the first time in millenia. It won't end the world but for a good bit of time before and after will play havoc on all the electronic devices we depend on. Cell phones, computers, the newer vehicles, our digital watches will all go screwy. That would mean everything that depends on computers to keep them going could likely have a problem. It is possible that the weather will be affected too. Maybe that explains what's been happening with it lately. There is also supposed to be a total solar eclipse on that day. It'll just drive us all crazy for a while. That is except for those of us that aren't already a little bit crazy to begin with.
