always best to wear a suit looks better for u mind i went for a interview few wks ago and most turned up in jeans dont think that was gd! so think its up to u there whatever u think will make a good impression as forst impressions last
In my opinion, you should always wear a suit to an interview, no matter what the job. Wearing the clothing that matches the job is what comes AFTER the interview. You should go in to any interview as a serious candidate, hopefully to be perceived as such. And it is fairly well known that interviews require proper attire for THAT occasion. You are not dressing for the job, you are dressing for the interview. Anything less than a suit would say that you don't see the difference.
i have done a lot of interviewing in my time if i was hiring some one for the factory, if they were neat and clean (impressed) suit (not as much) as they give the impression of not wanting to dig into manual work.. white collar workers suit.. but each to their own

Corduroy or cotton perhaps and a jacket. Good polished shoes are important to. Whatever you choose make it clean and smart, take pride in yourself. If you don't why would you take pride in anything else ? Like a job for example ....
Besty of luck to you, hope you get the job.
If you don't like golf, at least pretend you do ......
RDM59: Smart but casual, not jeans ..... never .....

Hey, you sure do get around these forums! I'm heading out in a few minutes--thanks for the bright spots in my day, Ardie. You're a good friend, and take it all on the cuff like a gentleman. You're top shelf, as we say here. (Hardly a better thing a guy can say to another, really-- )

Hi there I say swish but casual nice polished shoes, casual well pressed pants, there are some very cool casual shirts out there, no tie, (no tees) matched with a casual light linen sports jacket, make sure your shoes match your pants (dosent have to be the same colour though) Green keeping is i suppose very finness work , so show that you have a good account of your self, partly in the way you dress for this interview, as your first impression, "clean and cut", is exactly what the job and entails. Goodluck my friend.
FluffyDuffy: I have an interview tomorrow for a job as a greenkeeper
Would I be overdressed in a suit?
Well, "tomorrow" has come and gone by now. I hope it worked out for you!
I was going to say, it depends on what you are interviewing for. I always showed up ready to go to work (dress like it, tell them I had my lunch in the car, etc.) One time it actually worked! LOL!
You will have to let us know how it went and when you are starting your new job!

Who is going to see your pants underneath your trousers?
