Did it change since last night got to keep up with this stuff it has always meant to me as a date with 2 people to enjoy themselves

what do they call it a meeting? well a meeting between 2 people for the first time could be call a meeting but most say a date because it has more you are hoping and looking for than getting together for a meeting which might also imply more than 2 attending

I agree with you; however, I have dated more than one lady who had that opinion. They didn't like thinking they were on a date when it was a first 'meeting'.

Big_John: I agree with you; however, I have dated more than one lady who had that opinion. They didn't like thinking they were on a date when it was a first 'meeting'.
Ok John so on a date you may have some expectations on the first meet you dont know what to expect
so some women thinking they are not on a date lowers the expectation rate and puts some at ease

There are many ways to interpret "Dating"
Dating could be going out as a couple as Boyfriend or Girlfriend or the oppisite.
Dating could be going out to dinner, movies, or getting coffee
multiple times Being there company.
Depends who you are I guess.
If you take the ing off of Dating it changes
Date -Going out For Dinner
Dating going out multiple times not close enough to be Girlfrind and boyfriend (couple).
You Choose?

I juggle both meaning around according to the situation or who speaks with me... And as long as my date knows what she wants, it'll be fine

If I'm dating someone I'm with them; it's really not hard. Intimate encounters is sleeping with whoever to get off.
