given the options you provided, for me i would choose self esteem.
with positive self esteem one opens themselves to love when there is hate, the capacity to accomplish great things and achieve control over one's life even in the midst of chaos, providing for one's self and others around them (wealth - not necessarily a millionaire, etc), ability to form and maintain friendships, obtain and maintain a job, and to include your last option - to care about others.
a healthy self esteem is required to acquire all those things/situations.

I think self esteem. Love can be wrong, power shifts, wealth is being sucked away, social circles don't last and as for our professions, we can always be replaced.

What's up, fellow Chicagoan (my sweet home, Chicago). I chose self-esteem as well, must be a Chicago thing
.My self-esteem is something that belongs to me and me alone and if someone tries to take that from me, they are going to have a fight on their hands, or a knife in the gut (whichever is easier). Us Chicago folk express ourselves best with violence, at least on the South Side
