I think that they only manage that because people are unable to ignore them. If whatever they post was simply ignored, they would fade away very quickly. Instead, people acknoledge their presence, and that is all what they want, after all they are nothing more than attention seekers.

I don't involve myself with them at all anymore and probably I treat one or two genuine newbies with distrust and keep them at a distance because of this which is a shame.
Also there are regular members who seem to enjoy the antagonism and horn locking side of life who will fight away on the threads all day.I don't necessarily think their behaviour is wrong but I distance myself from that too. I just don't like it.
There are also a couple of female members, who added to the fake profile problem by encouraging the practice knowing that these members had been banned for good reason. They too, are off my Christmas list and I ignore them at meets.
So I protect myself as best I can and try to live and let live. What annoys me just as much is the hatred threads on the international site. I must say that some of these so called Christians could do with adopting the teachings of Jesus Christ!

Some of the posts and threads by trolls/fake profiles have been fairly amusing on here, its the abusive posters I don't like or the ones who feel they have to ram their opinions down everyone elses throat, they wouldn't get away with it in the real world so why do it on internet. People should just be themselves.

maybe they are like that in the real world and that's why they come here...
trolls tend to wind up posters and get them arguing against each other ending in banning or cs jail, it's not nice or acceptable.
