On Nov 2nd, the US has its mid term election. In this election... 1/2 of the House's 435 seat are contested. Some 212 seat are being contested. The Tea party and REP canidates are leading in many races from narrow leads to double digit figures.

The question floating around in Washington, is how big will the wave of new the Congress be? d*ck Morris, is saying over 100 DEMs will be replaced. Other more conservative are saying near 50. Still a sizeable gain and will shift the majority in Congress.

Still the DEM tactic is to 'firewall' two dozen incumbants that are running. By giving them additional money for campaign advertising. This strategy could back fire. If the advertising is not solid or if the two dozen selected.

What is at stake? Nancy Pelosi job as majority whip for one thing. If the Tea Party/REP become the majority......she is now the minority whip. Note I did not say she is whipped by the new majority.

Who is calling the funding shots in the American government. Budget legislation originates in the House. A Tea Party/REP majority will see drastic reduction in spending.

Presently DEM have 256 offices and the REP have 178 in the 111th Congress.
So a change of 39 is need to switch the majority.

What is your opinion? Tea party/REP super wave? Or just a little splash in the big world?

First off I don't think the Republicans will pick up as many seats as they seem to be sure of. There will be many surprises which is almost always the case once the poles open. To be honest I never did like having any one party controling every branch of government so even if the house falls to the Right it won't cause me to lose a minutes sleep.
Another thing that baffles me is why the Right has such a disdain for Nancy Prelosi? That woman has been pilloried for as long as I can remember. To her credit it doesn't seem to bother her one bit.

Any 'party' that thinks the solution to their nation's problems is invoking the 2nd amendment and revoking the 14th is either smoking some serious Mexican contraband or practicing witchcraft

or both.

It does not matter how many seats they win.

A Obama supporter and writer just hurled his book at the President. In a campaign rally in Philadelphia, as the President was taking the stage....
a paper back book comes from the croud at the President missing him.

One is instantly reminded of GWB ducking shoes in Iraq. But in this case the book was in the President blind area......and he did not see it coming.

The secret service quickly corralled the overzealous writer, who is seeking to get publicity for his book. Maybe a book signing someplace?
More than likely the writer is a CS subscriber.

If so, please share the name of the book....we would like to know the title of the book that nearly stopped a President. The White House is not releasing the title or the writer's name. Protecting them from success, I guess.

We can help to build up your circulation with some posted quotes on the political threads. You should become a instant hit here.

No, just maybe this is a coverup by the White House. That the book thrown was a right wing book written by Rush Limbuagh. Or a recent work of bin Laden that has details of his location and next attack. So in the spirit of public knowledge and freedom of information....I hope this bit of White House censorship is quickly resolved prior to the mid terms.

With Obama's DoD burning books and Bob Woodward expose' of the White House in print, it seem the Obama administration is having trouble with the printed word.

Let me start posting some new here and see where it goes.

Anna Chapman....having trouble remember the name? She was the red headed Russian spy that was caught in the Obama sting of Russian agents. Anna hasa new gig. She is now the spokes person for a Russian bank, FSB.

FSB said in hiring Anna......we needed a way to get new innovation into the company. Well if anyone knows 'new innovation' it is Anna. She likely had so many gov't and military types sharing intell with her....that she is just bursting at the seams with 'new innovation.'grin

Now on a different note. More Westerns have been arrested in Iran. Two journalist that interveiwed the son of the woman to be stoned in the future.....were arrested. Iran says that they failed to declare themselves as journalist on their document....rather came into the country as tourist.

Supreme Leader Khanamie is had voied the charter of a private university in Iran. That is the center of the moderate movement. Declaring the university's endowment....to be religously illigitimate and hence is null and void.

This is no small university. Rather has 1.3m students in 350 different institutions across the country. The moderate trouble makers after the Mousavi post election riots.

Iran cracks down again!

How could I do this with out more on the booming US stimulus. Presdient Obama is asking for $50b for road and infrastrucuture. Saying the US should not be second place to any country in the world when it comes to infrastructure...the President makes a case to spend only $50b that he does not have. Nor does he have in 'pay as you go'.

When asked who pay for the roads and winmills. The President said...."There is no reason that why the worlds best infrastructure should lie outside the border of the country. This is America. We always had the best infrastruucture...we just need the political will."

Just a point of order....it seems to me....that is was political will that got us into a $3.5t deficit.

DEM are coming out and saying that if elected they would not vote for Nancy Pelosi for majority whip. Can we trust that? I have better suggestion.....just vote DEMs out....with the REP and Tea party as majority....I will guarantee that Nancy is not majority whip.

rolling on the floor laughing

I am starting the post with a LMAO belly rollin emoticon. Because the DEM are becoming desperate at this point in the coming REP wave. DEM historically strong hold are being brought down in the NE.

Even questionable Tea Party canidate are finding the possibility of winning on Nov 2nd even with serve cases of sticking their foot in their mouth snydrome striking hard! As in NY governor race.

To counter this onslaught...DEM have attempt to distance, to localize, to firewall and to motivate.

First a example of distance. DEM Governor Mancini or WV.....newest campaign add....has him coming to the camera with a hunting rifle, loading a round into it....and saying....'the NRA approves of me. If elected, I would protect your right to bare arms. I would reduce Fed gov't spending and get them off our backs. I would repeal Obamacare. And I would vote no on Cap and Trade'....at which point he take the hunting rifle to shoulder aims thru the scope and fire a round down at a sheet of paper target. Then with the paper brought close....we see it to be the proposed Cap and Trade bill with a dead center mass hole in it. If that is not distancing, I don't know what is. Mancini has a 66% approval rating, but is in a tight race with a virtual REP unknown.

The best case of localising, I can think of. Is the CA governor race. Between Jerry Brown and Meg Whitman. Whitman is running on CA issues and Brown is running on Whitman illegal alien employment. If that is not localising a race, am not sure of what is. Arnold need to come home from Moscow. were he making a very big fool of self. But with the CA governor race like this....maybe it the best place to be....so he does not have to answer the press questions.

The best case of DEM firewalling is the few the proud and the ones that got the additional 24 that got DNC campaign funds for advertising. Not sure how this works. how do you become a super DEM and get to be priviledged over lesser DEMs to get additional DNC funding? Sound a lot like earmarks to me. But hey am on the sidelines. As are most Americans.
We just like to see everyone treated fairly, DEMs.

For motivating. The DEM have picked up on the Chamber of Commerce giving campaign donations to the REP party as the motivator. We need to remember that the Chamber of Commerce was not invited to the Obama White House when the economic summit going on. Allot of feelings were hurt then. So the DEM made their enemy and now are trying to smear it.
The problem is .....no evidence. That the Chamber has collected foreign donations or that money has made it way into the campaign of the REP.
With out the smoking gun, the charge is Mancini cap and trade bill...it has a big hole in it.

The four political tactics of the DEM so far are failing. Yes, the races are tightening. But when the long establish DEM NE strong holds begin to fall or near 50/50 in the polling. It is not a good sign for DEMs.

The more desperate DEMs become, the more we will see the dirty linen flown. Grayson has set the standard of the bar pretty low here in Florida. About 3 inches above the ground level. Pelosi is no long judging her race by the polls, but by campaign contributions. Reid
is a few points behind a poorly funded Tea Party type.

21 days till mid terms......early absentee voting is occurring.....in most of the country. While in NY.....the ballots for the mostly REP solider in Iraq and Afghanistan failed to make the required 30 days shipping to the foreign country. So most of the deployed NYorkers troops may not get a chance to vote. There is DEM gov't incompentence, if not malious disregard to the principle of the ballot to such a failure.

Pelosi is most definitely a liability to the DEMs. Let us face it, when she can say that 'she had two wars to run' while GWB and Cheney were in office.....shows her lack of understanding of the government and military command chain. But it is more than that.

The final two years of his last term, GWB had Pelosi smiling at
him every time he needed a war funding bill to finance Iraq and Afghanistan. He knew she was going to dump allot of earmark and pork on the bill. But what could he do....with all funding legislation originating in the House....he had to play her game. Sadly that was a very bad game for the country. But also gave GWB enough daily heartburn
that the DEM rejoiced in her position.

But the DEM made her house majority whip just for that purpose. They took the most liberal person in the house and voted her majority whip...to be a thorn in GWB side. Here the country has two wars going on, and the DEM vote Pelosi (with no military experience at all) to be the number three in the gov't.

Talk about irresponsibility!

So she becomes this lightening rod, that they wanted. And now when Pelosi is painted with the DEMs....they are trying to distance themselves from her. That shows a total lack of character and what political creatures many DEMs are.

The DEM here make a big deal about GWB's financial deficits. But much of that deficit was rung up by Nancy Pelosi by porking and earmarking the bills he needed for Iraq and Afghanistan. She sure did not put a stop to Pres. Obama spending spree! If Nancy Pelosi was being responsible to the people of the country.....she would do exactly that.

So if she is a lightening rod during the mid terms.....she and the DEM did it.

The eldest Kim son does not like how the NKorean transition is going. He is not in favor of heriditary transfer of power. doh No kidding! Talk about being axed from the families will and a rightful inheritance!

But it just goes to show....that if you fake to many passports for trips to Japan's Disneyland...don't expect Dad to be happy. The eldest Kim is the playboy of the three. And the gambler of the three.

Maybe Kim senior was worried that he would lose all of NKorea on the crap table! Come on lucky number 7! Rats, snake eyes you say!

Well...with the youngest now a General in the NKorean army. Maybe the eldest will ask to be in his command structure. Maybe as a online gaming expert. But I don't think that is going to happen. Nor do I think that either number one or number two sons have a chance on Earth to reversing the decision to make number three the new Premier.

Only the fools and soon to be dead or imprisoned would follow either of them into a fight with the NKorean Army and Secret Service to attempt a reversal or cou here. But I have been wrong in the past.

With elder Kim looking like a worn out shoe with its strings missing. This final transition to power for Kim III may come soon enough. Kim senior's health is in decline.

I don't see the Kim eldest leading a charge of the casino employees and gamers against the NKorean Army. Nor do I see the middle KIm leading a gay day bonazi charge into the fixed bayonets of the NKorean regulars.

So with this transition to a young 30 year old rasor back KIM senior look alike is going to happen. With that goes much of the opportunity to reunify the Koreas and the chance for peace on the Korean pennisula.
For he is no hurry to do either.....

So with only one real card to play....that is export of conventional and nuclear weapons and weapon technology, what will the youngest Kim do with power? He has to feed those 24m NKoreans some way. And he has to give them energy in the winter time to heat their homes.

Look for NKorea to increase its export of weapons after the transition occurs.
