I believe in life after death. I also believe in reincarnation. I don't believe the things I was taught in the church growing up - well, some of it. I've gone back to church off and on as an adult. I actually like church. But I do believe that there is more to afterlife than mansions, and singing angels.
Well, I'll tell you, many people believe that Jesus was a "good teacher" but don't consider that He taught that heaven can be gained "Only through Him" exclusively, no holds barred. How could Jesus be a good teacher if He was so wrong about what he taught?
Jesus told the parable about the rich man and beggar...one endured heaven on earth, the latter endured hell. The one who endured hell woke up in heaven, the rich man woke up in hell with flames so terrible he yearned to tell his brothers "not to come here." Jesus said that there is an uncrossible chasm between them. Both died, both found themselves where they were instantaneouly after death.
Oh man, yes, I believe in an afterlife, and I believe that no matter which god you pick - be it yourself, golf, televised football, money, you name it - if it isn't Jesus, we're screwed :)

When a person dies they are asleep and know nothing. The next moment of being waken even though a hundred years would appear to them as occuring an instant after death.
Keep in mind that a parable is to teach a lesson or a meaning. Once an INFORMED choice is made and death happens....it is a done deal.
If you murder a man knowing the results....the judge is not going to give you a million dollars just because you don't like the results. It is a done deal....your going to jail.....like it or not.

Of course not! Christ is the only to assend to the Heaven of Heavens where God the father is. He is the first born of many bretheren. The rest in Christ wait for his return and the resurrection.

Oh man, you obviously are asking questions into which you've never sought an answer! LOL! And you expect answers from his followers rather than Him?
If you read your Bible, it states that Christ will come back at the perfect time, and no one knows the "day nor the hour" in which He will return. That includes all of us, whether we believe in HIm or not.
Once He does return, that's it, man. Once the play is over, the Author walks out on stage and the curtain is drawn - for good. It's to our benefit that it hasn't happened yet...we still have time to consider the plot.
Those who are his understand the Bible and know of certain events that must take place before he will arrive....but it is not far off. Maybe in your life time. When he does arrive all eyes will see him....just as the sun shines from the East to the West and all see it.....so shall be the return and his brillance will be seen decending to the Mount of Olives by all. The book of Revelation is just that. It reveals to his people.

I know i would have a lot of questions but one of them really bothers me....
If you die before Jesus comes...will you be still be able to see that day from above? Will you know when it is happening??

Christ will return just in time to stop mankind from completely destroying themselves. It is far from the end.....it is the beginning. It is only the end of this age.

I know of the bible book....Is the whole story in that or do you need to buy the book of revelations as well?
Oh my, yes...the Bible assumes (it never argues) that those in both hell and heaven will know exactly who they are (were) and will know everything that's going on as plain and simple as we do now.

When you die. You will be asleep in the grave, the life force returns to God who gave it. At Christ return if you are Christ, you will be resurrected and will meet him in the air on his way down to the Mount of Olives. You if you are Christ will be of Christ Army of spirit beings to concour the Earth for the saving of mankind. Read Revelation God is coming to live amoung men.....man does not accend to the Heaven of Heavens.
Our father who art in Heaven thy Kingdom COME, they will be done ON EARTH as it is in Heaven.
The meek shall Inherit the EARTH.
Read Revelation. The New Jerulsalem decends from Heaven and God dwells among men. ON THE EARTH.

You do error in your understanding! I mean no ill will......but if it is important to you.....you do error. If you wish to contend....I will help but not do so.

Well i am sure that there maybe things i know about life that you may not.....but i wont make you feel stupid about it...
Oh, man, I know God says "Come, let us reason together" and invites Job to challenge Himself.
I only meant in current point. When Jesus (and Paul) taught us of a parable and/or truth about the kingdom of heaven, that was IT. Done. Believers will be "caught up in the air" not, "Okay, man, due to the law of physics which govern this world...." See what I mean? It is stated, it's a fact, regardless of the theory we try to justify if with.
Not true! it will become paradise and the Kingdom of God's Place.
Heaven means a higher place. That is why there are three heavens. One is where the birds are. Secound is the place of the stars. The third is the place that God the father is now. Many make paradise and the kingdom of God mean Heaven in there mind.....but read! Use a Strong's Concordance to know which is which. There are three hells....use it to understand which is which.
You must learn basic things to understand more.
It is like trying to explain thermal runaway on a class a amplifier to a person who does not understand that electron flow is oppisite to common current belief which is incorrect to the real situation. Without that you are lost as a goose as to the truth.
If you wish to learn......read, read, read ...only the Bible Interpets itself....all else is your own understanding and blinds you.
