Im somewhere in the middle Lion, I think it WAS a fresh genre which made it interesting. Now I just think theres too much. Although my kids and I are die hard Survivor fans right from season 1.

I really enjoy the reality police and medical shows. I even like Dog - the bounty hunter. I can do without the rest like real housewives, etc.

Yes but it purely depends on what genre one is speaking of. When it comes to the likes of Big Brother and all that crap, they are a complete waste of space and a load of old nonsense. Why the hell does someone want to watch or even be idiotic enough to record people when they are sleeping?
Such programmes can give people false hope, and wild fantasies of becoming a -Z rate celebrity.

I thought undercover boss was a very interesting concept and enjoyed the one show I saw. Learning experience for CEO's which they need more than a second house in the mountains. What is Big Brother about am I missing something?

Don`t know whats going on in your part of the world, but in my country.... most people went absolutely banana after the reality shows ... and the whole thing looks like a gient experiment of how far will people go,how fast can they be brain washed and how much money are they gonna spend on calls and votes

It would be something if "reality" TV was even remotely bordering on.... "reality"?!
I'm afraid in this age of wanting this NOW and that NOW, at our immediate finger-tips, and that includes being "entertained", when so many are feeling as though their lives lack enough drama, there is a thirst for the increasingly bizarre, wacky, way-out, and nothing less will do. We have been drip-fed the more off-the-wall stuff that we now believe that's what we want. Its a strategy that has clearly worked.....
