invinciblemuse: Funny you should say that - here I am. Was dumped for a lovely psychopath, hehe!! She's long gone, the ex and me are still friends.
I have always prefered to part on good terms, but it is not always possible. One believed that the best way for her to move on was to never have contact with her ex's and sometimes they harbor too much anger to keep in touch. It is just how different people deal with break ups and all understandable to some extent.
I knew I had to get rid of him after a conversation with a friend of mine. She said her husband was an angel and my first thought was, you're lucky. Mines still alive.
He was much younger, and after more than a year dating, there was a feeling that it is nowhere to go further. His family would not accept me, mine was not happy either. We had to part. He said the words first, I agreed, but cried. He said it is not easy for him too, and so on. We met occasionally several times again, he was the one who broke the agreement not to see each other. In the beginning I could not resist, but after while I found strength to say no. Was hard time though, we were good match. It is 3 years now since we parted.
